The top 10 companies with the most followers on LinkedIn are filled with multinational companies that have become name brands in their respective industries. Some of these companies deal with technology, food, media, etc.

LinkedIn is an employment and business-based platform. People use this platform to get jobs and build business connections. All these companies on this list utilise LinkedIn to expand their reach and employ new and bright minds. The following companies listed below chronologically show the top 10 companies with the most followers on LinkedIn.

1. Google

Starting this list of the top 10 companies with the highest number of followers on LinkedIn is Google, one of Alphabet Inc.’s subsidiaries. Besides Google, Alphabet owns other huge companies such as YouTube, Fitbit, and Nest. Google boasts 34 million followers on LinkedIn with more than 300,000 associated members. Google was co-founded by Larry Page and Sergey Brin in 1998. This huge tech company is also involved in search engine tech, e-commerce, online advertising and marketing, artificial intelligence and more. Ruth Port currently serves as Google’s President with Sundar Pichai as the current CEO.

Coming in second place is Amazon with 32 million followers. Headquartered in Seattle, Washington, US, the company has more than 10K employees and over 711,000 associated members on their LinkedIn page. Jeff Bezos founded the company in 1994 and it is also one of the largest multinational technology companies in the world. Amazon as a company started as an e-commerce platform and later expanded its services including Amazon Web Services and Amazon Prime Video.

3. LinkedIn

LinkedIn comes in third in the top 10 companies with highest followers on the LinkedIn list. This is the largest-ever professional network hosting more than one billion members across the world. It was founded by Allen Blue, Reid Hoffman, Jean-Luc Vaillant, Konstantin Guericke, and Eric Ly in 2002. With over 29 million followers on its own LinkedIn profile, the company has more than 25,000 associated members on LinkedIn Website. People mostly use this platform to seek employment and they also build professional connections.

4. TED Conferences

Founded in 1984 by Richard Saul Wurman and Harry Marks, TED Conferences is a media company that hosts talks and posts them online for free. TED which stands for Technology, Entertainment, and Design invites people from all spheres of life to a showcase where the speakers present their ideas in under 18 minutes. Their LinkedIn profile has 24 million followers and 12k associated members. TED Conferences post inspirational quotes, articles and TED Talk videos on their page.

Unilever PLC is a multinational consumer goods company headquartered in London, United Kingdom. Some of its subsidiaries include Hindustan Unilever, Ben & Jerry’s, Shea Moisture, Unilever Philippines and more. Unilever’s LinkedIn page has garnered over 19 million followers. The page has more than 124,817 associated members. This big company has also been split into various groups such as Personal Care, Home Care, Ice Cream, Beauty & well-being and Nutrition. With 18 million followers on its LinkedIn page, this company posts articles about various entrepreneurs, and businessmen and also provides tips on how to make more money. This media company is based in Jersey City, New Jersey and Integrated Whale Media Investments currently own it.

9. IBM

IBM stands for International Business Machines Corporation. It has also been given the nickname ‘Big Blue’. IBM is a multinational tech company founded in 1911. It is headquartered in Armonk, New York, United States. This IT company stands to be in the 9th position in the top 10 companies with the highest followers on the LinkedIn list. It has over 17 million followers on its LinkedIn profile. Furthermore, this company also has over 300,000 associated members. Through their LinkedIn page, IBM mostly posts about its latest developments and updates. IBM has dipped its toes in many areas such as AI, blockchain, cloud software and the Internet of Things.
