    I think the content creation can be the easy part. It is the marketing of it that needs the most time and effort. You should have a plan to promote the heck out of your blog post once it is published.

    Your tips are great to get you going. I like to implement a 80/20 rule. This is where I would spend about 20 percent of my time for blogging, creating a new helpful blog post, and then I would spend about 80% of my time blogging promoting my new blog post like a maniac.
