Zoomtopia 2024: Key Highlights of the Zoom Event

Zoom Video Communications, Inc introduced new AI-powered features at Zoomtopia 2024 to improve customer productivity and collaboration. The company plans to revolutionize the whole work experience through these new features. It plans on developing an AI-powered work platform that serves the needs of human connection and team empowerment and this recently held event introduced a few new features meant to do just that.

Zoom’s AI Companion 2.0 was introduced to include more customization and personalization options. The new version of Zoom’s AI Companion will include a convenient side panel with an AI-first UI. The AI Companion also gained an expanded contextual understanding and advanced synthesis, which allows the AI to bring in interactions from Zoom Workplace. Users will also have their questions answered in real-time. Furthermore, the AI Companion will also gain the ability to track, detect, and complete various actions in Zoom Workplace.

Zoom has also brought in a new add-on that enables users to customize and personalize their AI Companion. Companies and organizations can adjust Zoom’s AI Companion to fit their business by including summaries of meetings and documents, and customized dictionaries. These organizations can even connect their company data to Zoom for improved response accuracy. Users can also connect to third-party apps to gain more comprehensive data and insights and personalize the AI Companion with personal coaching capabilities and custom avatars for Zoom.

Zoomtopia 2024: More features introduced during this event

The Zoomtopia 2024 event also saw the announcement of new Zoom Workplace improvements. A new AI-powered feature called Zoom Tasks detects, recommends, and completes tasks based on the Zoom Workplace conversations. Zoom Phone and Zoom Phone voicemail generation also saw its debut during the event.

In addition, Zoom AI Companion is coming to in-person meetings. AI Companion for Workvivo will assist employees in being informed and connected. Wordvivo Employee Insights will measure various employee metrics such as performance, engagement, and happiness.

Improvements have been made to Zoom Virtual Agent which is the platform’s self-service AI chatbot. Auto Quality Management enables supervisors to get insights about their employee’s performance. New capabilities have also been added to AI Expert Assist.
