Jetpack launches the official OpenAI-powered WordPress AI assistant. available in a constrained free version and an unrestricted premium version. In order to enable content creators to operate within the WordPress publication workflow, Jetpack just released a new WordPress plugin that incorporates OpenAI content generating right into the WordPress editor.

Automattic’s Jetpack

Plugins, programs, and websites including WooCommerce, WordPress.com, Tumblr, Akismet, and Jetpack are all produced by the software development firm Automattic.

Automattic was established by Matt Mullenweg, the creator, and creator of WordPress, and it provides support for a number of open-source initiatives including WordPress, WordCamp US, and bbPress.

The knowledge gained by creating for and contributing to the nonprofit WordPress.org makes Automattic software the industry standard for plugins even though the two organizations are completely independent.

Supported by OpenAI

Since January 2023, WordPress has been testing an OpenAI writing assistance. Although OpenAI isn’t specifically mentioned in the official announcement. Automattic confirmed to SearchEngineJournal that OpenAI is really the technology behind this plugin.

As a writing assistance for publishers, Jetpack has unveiled a new plugin called Jetpack AI assistance. Using a chat-like interface, or conversational user interface, the plugin makes the AI assistant accessible within the WordPress editor block.

That really just means that you text someone what you want to say in a conversational style. The use of the Jetpack AI content generator will be familiar to you if you are already familiar with ChatGPT.

You can express your desires to the AI by composing a “prompt.”

If the final product requires revision, instruct it to redo it with any information you believe is missing.

Using the Jetpack AI plugin makes sense if all you require is a means of producing content for WordPress. Especially given that the production of the material takes place within the WordPress editing workflow. There is no copying and pasting between apps.
