WeTransfer has launched a new WeTransfer Starter plan, which costs $6.99 per month., limiting users to only 10 transfers each month. This new restriction has already been implemented, according to the company’s help page. While the free plan now has fewer transfers, it does have some significant improvements.
Along with the 10-transfer restriction, WeTransfer has upped the maximum file transfer size from 2GB to 3 GB. The free plan now includes unlimited portals, which are collaborative folders intended specifically for client work, as well as the opportunity to give reviews. Furthermore, all transfers will include password protection, increasing the security of shared files.
To streamline the service, WeTransfer has eliminated the 5% fee that was previously imposed for paid transfers. The site previously permitted users to sell files on it, but this service has since been stopped. The modifications are part of a bigger transformation in the company’s price structure following its acquisition by Bending Spoons, an Italian software company, in July.
Along with these adjustments, WeTransfer has launched a new WeTransfer Starter plan, which costs $6.99 per month. This subscription has the same capabilities as the free plan but with a higher file size restriction of 300GB. The previous Pro and Premium plans, priced at $15 and $25 per month, have been consolidated into a single Ultimate plan, which costs $25 per month.
