Viggle: AI Startup Company Giving Motion to Memes

Viggle is a controllable video generator that gives motion to memes and images. The basic premise of this AI service is that it lets users animate images with interesting text prompts.

The AI startup is based in Toronto, Canada and was founded in 2022 by CEO Haag Chu. The company’s CEO has previously worked at NVIDIA, Autodesk, and Facebook. The company has recently raised $19 million in a Series A funding round. Andreessen Horowitz led the funding round and the funding round also includes other investors such as Two Small Fish. The funds are expected to go into speed up product development and team expansion.

Viggle has made its rounds on the internet with Joaquin Phoenix’s Joker character replacing Lil Yachty during the Summer Smash Festival. Another viral instance is when Jesus Christ seemed to have appeared to hype up a crowd at a concert.

Viggle and how this AI engine works

The AI service is powered by JST-1, which is the company’s 3-D foundation model that utilises an understanding of physics to bring accurate movements to the model. The animation process has become simplified and easy to use, especially for people who have never worked in traditional animationTake Notes For Me: New Google Meet Update programs or techniques. Users can bring their image or ‘meme’ to life by simply providing the animation generator with a text prompt. After which, the results are a realistic depiction of movement.

Chu has stated that the company plans to expand its animation generator capabilities into more complex subjects. The model is currently only applicable to characters. Animators, filmmakers and content creators all use this model to streamline their creative process and make it easier to visualise their ideas.

Viggle comes in a free and limited version on both its official website and Discord. In addition, a $9.99 subscription plan is also offered to its users. The company has also put out a Viggle Creator Program which is meant to provide its creators with benefits.
