Transaera is a recent startup that aims at revolutionising air conditioners with its excellent technologies that decrease the amount of moisture from the air before it gets cooled.
This startup is aimed at helping people with humid weather with its air conditioner. Transaera is not a typical air conditioner, it utilises its technology which decreases the levels of humidity. This is done while still reducing the energy that is required for this process.
Transaera and more on this startup
Transaera’s prosperity technology can be implemented into any kind of air conditioning system. The DOAS (dedicated outdoor air system) dehumidifies the air and decreases the amount of load. The ‘leftover’ air then touches evaporator coils, consequently cooling the air while also trying to accurately match the building’s temperature.
Usually, air conditioners and humidifiers produce heat during the humidity removal state of the air. Transaera utilises this air and uses it to remove moisture from its material that sits properly on a porous wheel. During the winter, the DOAS system can revert to preserving the humidity indoors. The startup has stated that it uses less than 40% less energy as compared to higher-end DOASs.
The company was started in 2017 by co-founders, Sorin Grama, Mircea Dinca and Ross Bonner. It is currently going through a funding round of $6 million. Overall, the startup has raised over $7.5 million and part of this funding includes the $4.5 million seed round.
