WordPress.com launched a domain registration deal for one fee for 100 years that includes managed hosting, round-the-clock customer assistance, and other features.
WordPress’s long-term strategy
The customary ten-year limit applies to the length of time a domain name may register. Being able to register a domain for a century is therefore rather unique.
This new option from WordPress is known as the 100-year plan. The registration fee for a domain name is $38,000 USD for 100 years. Hosting and domain registration comes to a total of $380 annually.
What is included in the WordPress Century Plan?
These aspects of the proposal are listed by name in the official announcement:
- 100 years of domain protection
- Distinct geographic data centers’ data centers’ multiple backups
- Hosting for WordPress that is “top tier” managed
- Unrestricted bandwidth (also known as unrestricted traffic)

For whom is the 100-Year Plan intended?
According to WordPress, the program is intended for those who want to preserve the heritage of their businesses. As well as for families and business owners.
