As the release date for Apple Intelligence draws near, Apple is rolling out new updates for TestFlight. The new upgrades will allow developers to better target betas and receive more feedback before their app debuts on the App Store.
With the new update, invitations will be able to highlight new content or features incoming to the game or app. This could bring in more testers to give it a try. Apple has also stated that beta builds of these games and apps that have undergone approval for release will be able to include pictures or screenshots of the app along with their app category on the App Store.
In addition, users will also be able to set standards for testing in TestFlight. This aids developers in narrowing certain test groups to certain audiences. For instance, for those that use a particular OS version or device. Furthermore, it also helps in saving sports from a much more popular or well-known beta from heading to those who cannot use the app on their OS or device. These developers can this set the maximum number of group testers to control access.
TestFlight Upgrades: More updates in this new upgrade
With the new TestFlight upgrade, newer invites can be sent from newer public links to include certain metrics. For instance, metrics such as the amount of testers who have viewed the invite and declined the invitation. The Developers will also be able to view the number of potential testers who did not meet any of the standards set. The users will even be enabled to give feedback to the developer. This feedback will help them understand the reasons why they did not join the beta as testers.
