Samsung’s Bixby to Get Upgrades this Year 

Samsung’s Bixby is expected to get a new AI makeover this year. The announcement was made by a company executive, TM Roh during the Galaxy Unpacked event that was recently held in Paris, France. 

Bixby will be powered by the South Korean company’s LLM (Large Language Model). Samsung plans to add and enhance even more features to its AI assistant to rival the likes of competitors such as Google Gemini and Apple’s Siri. 

There are no specific details out yet regarding the update of AI features. However, the tech giant plans to bring AI features that AI software like ChatGPT uses. Samsung is also allowing users to choose between voice assistants found on their devices. For Instance, users can use Gemini along with Bixby.

Samsung’s Bixby: More on the AI Assistant 

The tech giant released Bixby back in 2017 but it somehow never saw the same level of success as its other competitors. The AI assistant allowed users to get things done by simply speaking. To elaborate, users could ask the AI assistant to call, text or even set reminders by talking to the phone. 

Other features such as Quick Commands and Bixby Vision were also offered to users. Bixby Vision is considered an accessibility tool for those with vision impairment this feature could describe the visuals that can be seen through the camera.
