The new Samsung Health Update includes new enhancements for food tracking, medication management and access to health records.
The new health records tool will enable users to gain easy and quick access to medical records from hospitals, clinics and so on, right from the Samsung Health app. The tech giant has teamed up with b.well Connected Health which is a platform for consolidating the biggest EMR systems in the US. Health Records also directs the users into using preventative care with valuable insights and alerts. These are particularly useful for suggesting the next steps to take. This new feature also provides a holistic approach to the user’s medical records. Thus users can better communicate to the healthcare providers of their medical details right from their smartphones.
Samsung has also brought in new improvements to the Medication tracking feature. The new update allows users to better manage their medications through more functionalities. Users can add new medications to their prescription list by using the visual search by scanning the medicine with their phone’s camera. Additionally, users can also check their meditation progress and adherence levels with the intuitive dashboard. This feature has also been expanded to India and South Korea.
Samsung Health Update: Monitor Food Intake
The South Korean tech company has also added a new barcode scanner to the Food tracker available in the Samsung Health app. This will make it much easier to log in food details including nutritional values, calories and more. This feature comes as a partnership with Fatsecret. The US and select countries in Europe will be among the first countries to receive this feature. European countries include Germany, Poland, Italy, The Netherlands, and France.
