Payments on X May be Arriving Soon

Payments on X may arrive soon as a member of the X research team has gone on record saying that they have spotted a ‘payment’ word’ in X’s navigation.

Elon Musk has stressed the need to make X an ‘everything’ app and making payments through the app is a feature that has been talked about by X’s owner. Moreover, Musk has previously mentioned introducing a paywall for X meaning that the platform may become a fully paid website. Musk has stated that bringing paywalls and subscription plans to X has reduced bots on X Though there are concerns over paywalling many basic features.

Payments on X: Potential Features

An X researcher has shared a few details of the upcoming payment service on X. A screenshot showing the payment option’s location in the navigation bar can be seen. Users are expected to be able to send and receive money, check bank balances, and view transaction histories.

There has been no confirmation on whether or not the payments on X will follow a wallet system or if they will be linked straight to a bank account.

After Musk took over X, formally known as Twitter, he introduced new features and updates. These features and updates have been met with mixed reviews. The most notable feature to be introduced was the paid verification system. The paid verification system was initially received negatively. However, it set a trend among other social media platforms to introduce the system into their websites.
