During a recent office hours session, Rohan Sahai, Sora’s product lead, discussed the company’s efforts to introduce the video generator to ChatGPT. While OpenAI is currently working on the integration, Sahai indicated that it may take some time. Once connected, users may be able to create films straight from the ChatGPT interface, resulting in a more seamless experience. However, this version may not offer the same amount of control as the present online app, which enables users to edit and stitch footage together.

This decision to include Sora in ChatGPT is likely to attract additional users to the site, potentially leading to upgrades to premium subscription tiers. Premium users may have access to increased video generation limitations, offering even more value to their subscription.

In addition to the ChatGPT integration, OpenAI has been developing Sora’s capabilities. They’re developing a mobile app for Sora and experimenting with new photorealistic image generation techniques.
