Odyssey 3D Monitor: Samsung’s Glasses Free 3D Monitor

Samsung unveiled the Odyssey 3D, a high-end 3D gaming monitor and it will be showcased at Gamescom 2024 in Germany. The new gaming monitor by Samsung will feature a glasses-free 3D experience and comes in different sizes.

Samsung will showcase its latest 3D monitor along with its other Odyssey models at Gamescom 2024. The event will be held in Cologne, Germany to be held from August 21 to 25.

The Odyssey lineup will include three models; the Odyssey 3D, the Odyssey OLED G8 and the Odyssey OLED G9. The new OLED models embrace both OLED Glare Free technology and Samsung's OLED Safeguard to ensure a quality viewing experience with no light reflections and burn-ins.

Odyssey 3D: Main features of the 3D monitor

Users will be able to effortlessly switch between 3D and 2D models according to their viewing preferences. The Odyssey 3D monitor comes in two sizes such as the 27-inch and 37-inch monitor. It comes with a full 4K display and a super fast 165Hz refresh rate to provide users with the smoothest gameplay experience.

The 3D monitor is also equipped with both View Mapping and Eye-Tracking technology to provide the 3D experience without using 3D glasses. The LFD (light field display) and lenticular lens in the monitor make impressively vivid and true-to-life 3D images.

The design of the monitor has also been developed with ergonomics in mind as it features a Height Adjustment Stant with tilt capabilities. In addition, the new Odyssey monitor comes with 2 HDMI 2,1 ports and a single DisplayPort 1.4.

Samsung's innovative 3D monitor has recently won the Best of Innovation award at the CES Innovation Awards 2024.
