Made by Google 2024: Rundown of the Event

Made by Google recently held on August 13 the highly awaited event saw the announcement of several new Pixel releases. Made by Google is an annual event hosted by Google where the company showcases its latest innovations to the public.

Google’s AI assistant, Gemini AI has also been integrated into the devices. Pixel Studio and Pixel Screenshots are the newest AI apps that Google has introduced. Other AI features such as Add Me and Magic Editor available in Google Photos have also been integrated into the new Pixel devices.

Made by Google 2024: Everything Announced at the Event

During the event, Google announced the Pixel 9 phone series, which consists of the Pixel 9, Pixel 9 Pro XL, and Pixel 9 Pro. The new Pixel 9 starts at $799 while the Pixel Pro XL is priced at $1,099. The Pixel 9 Pro which is around the same size as the Pixel 9 has been priced at $999. Google has also launched the Pixel 9 Pro Fold, a foldable fold priced at a whipping $1,799.

Besides the phone lineup, Google has also launched the Pixel Buds Pro 2 which is considerably lighter and smaller than its predecessor. The ANC on the new Pixel Buds have been improved and the buds offer up to 8 hours of audio listening. The Pixel Buds Pro 2 comes with a $229 price tag.

Furthermore, Google has released the Pixel Watch 3 with a 41mm and 45mm model option. Both models are priced differently as the 41mm model costs $349.99 and the larger model is $399.99. The new Pixel Watch series has thinner bezels and a super bright display up to 2000 nits. Newly added features for fitness have also been added to the Pixel Watch 3.

Lastly, Gemini Live finally sees its release after being announced at the I/0 developer event that took place earlier in 2024. This new voice mode is exclusive to Gemini Advanced users and available in 10 voices. Gemini Live allows users to engage in natural and free-flowing conversations with the AI assistant.
