'Divya Drishti', an AI tool aimed at improving biometric authentication has been launched. It was developed by Ingenious Research Solutions Pvt Ltd, a start-up established by Dr Shivani Verma.

It also enhances the accuracy of identification and minimizes risks of false positives or identity fraud. This robust and multifaceted authentication system has thus marked a significant milestone in biometric authentication technology. Furthermore, this versatile AI tool is also applicable in various sectors such as defence and law enforcement. It can also be applied in corporate and public infrastructures.

'Divya Drishti' was developed under the technical guidance and mentoring of the Centre for Artificial Intelligence & Robotics (CAIR), a Bangalore-based DRDO laboratory.

Dr Shivani Verma established the woman-led startup after winning the 'Dare to Dream Innovation Contest 2.0'. This contest was held by the Defense Research and Development Organisation (DRDO).

Dr Samir V. Kamat, the Secretary of DDR&D and Chairman of DRDO has extended his heartiest congratulations to Ingenious Research Solutions Pvt Ltd and the team at DRDO on achieving this breakthrough. He also calls this development a step towards achieving the vision of 'Aatmanirbhar Bharat' in the defence and aerospace industry. Here, the term 'Aatmanirbhar Bharat' directly translates to 'self-reliant India' which is a phrase termed by the Indian Prime Minister, Narendra Modi which term is used to further improve the country's economy as well as its development plans.
