Bigscreen Beyond is a lightweight virtual reality (VR) headset that claims to be the smallest VR headset in the world.
Users can immerse themselves in a virtual reality experience in a compact VR headset. This headset exists in a time when traditional VR headsets are often heavy and bulky.
The headset is described to be six times lighter than other VR headsets that are out on the market. It weighs 127 grams and the length is around 143.1 mm. Additionally, the width of the headset amounts to 52.4 mm.
Beyond is equipped with an impressive ultra-high resolution with OLED microdisplays. It offers vibrant colours and sharp and crisp visuals. The resolution is 5120 x 2560 and the headset supports the refresh rate up to 90HZ.
The headset is made from plastic polymers, glass, films and coatings. It even comes with a custom fitting service to ensure the best fit for users, with material that is safe for skin to touch and sweat-proof. Customers can also order an extra custom cushion for their friends and family to share.
Bigscreen Beyond: Behind the Company
Bigscreen was founded in 2014 by Darshan Shankar and it works through remote teams spread across six countries. The company also has offices around Los Angeles, California, United States.
Since its release in 2016, the company has amassed six million users.
In addition, the company is funded by big venture capital firms such as Andreessen Horowitz and True Ventures. The VR company has also collaborated with Paramount Pictures.
